Zetski dom

The play “Anna Karenina”, co-produced by the Royal Theatre “Zetski dom” and the Drama Studio “Prazan Prostor” won the Grand-Prix of the 62nd MESS International Theatre Festival in Sarajevo – “The Golden Laurel Wreath for the best theatre performance overall”.

The play won five more awards.

“The Golden Laurel Wreath for best actor” won Aleksandar Gavranić.

The “Rejhan Demirdžić” award for the best young actor/actress won Pavle Prelević and Sanja Vujisić.

The Festival’s jury composed of professor, author and editor Andrea Lešić-Thomas, PhD (Bosnia and Herzegovina), theatre and film director Fator Berisha (Kosovo) and artistic director, theatre director and dramaturge Giacomo Pedini (Italy).

Ilija Gajović was awarded the “Sound of MESS” award by Radio Sarajevo for the music and sound.

The play also won the “Golden Mask for Best Performance” by the Sarajevo daily “Oslobođenje”.

The play “Anna Karenina” is based on the novel by L.N. Tolstoy, directed by Mirko Radonjić, and the premiere was last year.

The audience had the opportunity to watch fourteen domestic, regional and European theatre productions.
