“Memories of Sarah Bernhardt” tomorrow in Zetski dom

The play “Memories of Sarah Bernhardt”, based on the text by John Murrell, adapted and directed by Staša Koprivica, will be performed tomorrow in the Royal Theatre “Zetski dom” at 8 pm. The cast includes Tanja Bošković and Dejan Đonović, and the play is co-produced by the Herceg Novi Theatre and Herceg Fest.
“The fear of mortality overcomes by making an effort to become immortal. Sarah Bernard secured that divine position for herself during her lifetime, but that was not enough for her. It is necessary to prepare for going to eternity, just like for any other premiere of the play. Sarah intended her performance to be a very poignant tragedy, but since she has to deal with her prosaic and stubborn secretary Georges Pitou, somehow it turns out that they both find themselves in a comedy. Comedy of character. As we follow the absurd conflict of these two so different, but equally persistent characters, we witness the story of a complex, imperfect and very hard friendship. But at the end of the day, that’s what all true friendships are like. Each of our roles in life is important”, wrote the director Staša Koprivica.
