The play “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?”, based on the text by Edward Albee, directed by Paolo Magelli, is in the regular repertoire of the Royal Theatre “Zetski Dom”.

“The contemporaneity of this play is also reflected in the fact that quite fearlessly and very unequivocally announces a penetrating, aggressive, prone to everything “new” generation that promotes the idea that success is measurable exclusively by the criteria that liberal capitalism brings alongside it. “Nevertheless, “Virginia Woolf” provides us with the possibility of an individual escape from social conventions, suggesting that we can still strive for the freedom of choice; for the right to be confused and silent within a civilization that insists on the communication of noise; It encourages us to ask questions in a world that raises such issues; the right to romanticism and melodrama in the world that is embarrassed of emotions” was written by playwright Željka Udovičić-Pleština.

Besides the direction, Paolo Magelli did the costume design with Lina Leković, as well as the lighting design with Mili Malović and Danilo Malović. Stela Mišković was in charge of the dramaturgy, Lorenzo Banci and Marko Petrović-Njegoš were set designers, Ljupče Konstantinov was the composer and Hana Rastoder and Milo Vučinić were assistants of the director. The author of the translation is Željka Udovicic-Pleština.
