Rehearsals for the play \u201cBeneath the two suns\u201d are in progress in the Royal Theatre \u201cZetski dom\u201d, and premiere will be next month.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The play is based on the novel by Ognjen Spahi\u0107, dramatization by Stela Mi\u0161kovi\u0107 and direction by Boris Lije\u0161evi\u0107. The cast includes Sr\u0111an Grahovac, Varja \u0110uki\u0107, as well as members of our acting ensemble Marija Ma\u0161a Labudovi\u0107, Vule Markovi\u0107, Goran Vujovi\u0107, Jelica Vuk\u010devi\u0107 and Jelena Laban.<\/p>\n

The director Boris Lije\u0161evi\u0107 says \u201cIt is the story of collective memory of generations who remember the great country in which we lived and its disintegration, that also witness to this new time, and those images of disintegration we carry as a collective trauma\u201d, and he added that \u201cIt is about intimate stories of the characters, since the play is almost Bergmanian about complex interpersonal relationships and people who feel uncomfortable in their own skin.\u201d<\/p>\n

“We have been working in the wonderful theatre Zetski dom for several weeks now, with a wonderful team made up of outstanding Montenegrin actors of various generations, and I am very satisfied and happy about that,” Lije\u0161evi\u0107 said.<\/p>\n

The author of the dramatization, Stela Mi\u0161kovi\u0107, emphasized that the interventions on the novel were insignificant and related mainly to stage adaptations.<\/p>\n

“We kept the monologue form in the dramatization that is represented in the novel, so that our scenes actually derive from our monologues and create a unique stage experience”, she pointed out.<\/p>\n

Actress Varja \u0110uki\u0107 believes that the best plays are made on the stage of the Royal Theatre \u201cZetski dom”.<\/p>\n

“I think that this will probably be one of the more significant plays, since it is about an extraordinary topic that has been kept silent somewhere, and which still haunts us all,” \u0110uki\u0107 said. She adds that the work is interesting, the responsibility is huge, and that she expects that the audience will recognise that the play “Beneath the Two Suns” is a breakthrough in our theatrical life.<\/p>\n

Scenography by Janja Valjarevi\u0107, Costume designer is Lina Lekovi\u0107, Composer is Nina Perovi\u0107 and Assistant of the Director is Nina Martinovi\u0107.<\/p>\n
