The play “Groupie”, based on the one-act plays “Autograph for Milica” and “Groupie”, by prominent contemporary Croatian writer Mate Mati<\/em><\/strong>\u0161i<\/em><\/strong>\u0107, directed by Ana Vukoti\u0107, will be premiered in the Royal Theatre \u201cZetski dom\u201d on Friday, November 25, 2022 at 8pm.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition to direction, Vukoti\u0107 signed the adaptation and design of performance, dramaturgy by \u017deljka Udovi\u0107i\u010d-Ple\u0161tina and Rajko Radulovi\u0107.\u00a0Costumography by Lina Lekovi\u0107, screening and video installation by Ivan Maru\u0161i\u0107 Klif, scenography by Andrea Rondovi\u0107, music by Aleksandar Radunovi\u0107, and Nina Martinovi\u0107 was the assistant of director.<\/p>\n

The cast includes Dejan Ivani\u0107, Ana Vujo\u0161evi\u0107, Marija Ma\u0161a Labudovi\u0107, Vule Markovi\u0107, Goran Vujovi\u0107, Jelica Vuk\u010devi\u0107 and Vukan Pejovi\u0107.<\/p>\n

<\/iframe><\/p>\nDramaturge \u017deljka Udovi\u010di\u0107-Ple\u0161tina pointed out that Mati\u0161i\u0107 is a writer who is extremely present on regional scenes at the moment, and one-act plays, on which “Groupie” is based, are connected to the main male characters, and even more to the female characters.<\/p>\n\u201cThese female characters and their destinies were our directorial and dramaturgical inspiration during the process. The dramas are formally and dramaturgically separate, but they are connected to the characters who pass smoothly from one drama to another\u201d, she added.<\/p>\nUdovi\u010di\u0107-Ple\u0161tina also emphasized that destinies of the characters, although shaded with humor and irony, turn out to be tragic.<\/p>\n“Their destinies give a global picture of the world that surrounds us, and also emanate some other topics that we are surrounded by: corruption, crime, hypocrisy, careerism and everything else that exists around us”, said Udovicic-Ple\u0161tina.<\/p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Vule Markovi\u0107 \/ "Obo\u017eavateljka"\" width=\"1100\" height=\"619\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/K-28f4cDo6Q?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\nActor Vule Markovi\u0107, announced the play and abstracted the sentence that Mate Mati\u0161i\u0107 said through the character of Mate at the end of the play – “I don’t know if it’s because of some mental illness, from which I suffer without knowing it, or because of my professional deformity but – I experience people more and more often as characters”.<\/p>\n\u201cI think there isn\u2019t an actor who didn’t think in that direction while observing life around us.
