(This message was added in version 6.7.0.) in /home/zetski/public_html/en/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6131With a feeling of deep sadness, respect and gratitude, the Royal Theatre “Zetski dom” says goodbye to its former director, colleague and friend Ljubomir \u0110urkovi\u0107, prominent Montenegrin cultural creator, winner of the 13th<\/sup> July Award and one of the most important regional playwrights.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Ljubomir \u0110urkovi\u0107 was born on November 13, 1952 in Cetinje, where he finished elementary and high school.\u00a0He graduated with a degree in comparative literature and theatrology from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo.\u00a0He was the director of the Royal Theatre “Zetski dom” in Cetinje and the dramaturge at the Montenegrin National Theatre in Podgorica.<\/p>\n He is the author of the plays: \u201cThe Family History Writer\u201d, \u201cThe Fifth Act\u201d, \u201cPetronius or Methuselahs Enjoy the Eternal Spring\u201d, \u201cTobelia\u201d, \u201cRefuse\u201d, \u201cNew Outfit\u201d, \u201cCassandra, Clich\u00e9s\u201d, \u201cThe Tiresias’s Lie\u201d and \u201cMedea\u201d, that were published and performed in theatres, on television and radio.<\/p>\n Apart from Montenegro, his plays were performed in theatres in Turkey, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, France and England.<\/p>\n His books have been published in Turkey, Macedonia and Slovenia. He has published collections of poetry: \u201cPolyphemus’ Tears\u201d (1982), \u201cWorks and days\u201d (1988), \u201cStill Something Changes\u201d (2008) and Selected Poems in Slovenian language (2012).
