Homage to one of the most important Montenegrin composers, Borislav Boro Tamind\u017ei\u0107, will be held in the Royal Theatre “Zetski dom” on Friday, December 9^{th<\/sup>, with a concert by the Chamber Ensemble of Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n}

Conducted by Robert Homen, the Chamber Ensemble of Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra will perform Borislav Tamind\u017ei\u0107’s works “Impressions from the exhibition of Risto Stijovi\u0107”, Suite for clarinet and string orchestra and Rhapsody for piano, trombone, timpani and chamber orchestra.<\/p>\n

The solo parts will be performed by violinist Marija \u0110uranovi\u0107, flautist Tamara Kne\u017eevi\u0107, pianist Davor Novak and soprano Milica Rai\u010devi\u0107 (“Impressions from the exhibition of Risto Stijovi\u0107”), clarinetist Petar Gari\u0107 in the Suite for clarinet and string orchestra, as well as pianist Vladana Perovi\u0107, trombonist Dejan Ljuji\u0107 and timpanist Sr\u0111an Pala\u010dkovi\u0107 in Rhapsody for piano, trombone, timpani and chamber orchestra.<\/p>\n

The concert, which the Royal Theatre “Zetski dom” realizes in cooperation with Montenegrin Music Center, will start at 8pm, and admission is free.<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the most significant and prolific Montenegrin composers, Borislav Boro Tamind\u017ei\u0107, was born in Kotor in 1932 and spent most of his childhood, youth and life in Podgorica.\u00a0He started secondary music school “Njego\u0161” in Cetinje, and finished in Kotor.\u00a0He studied at the Academy of Music in Belgrade, in the class of Nikola Hercigonja.<\/p>\n

Tamind\u017ei\u0107’s first services were related to the Radio-Titograd. He was a lecturer at the Music School, worked for the Montenegrin National Theatre, collaborated on numerous public performances and events.\u00a0From 1976, he worked as a music editor at the Television of Montenegro, where he spent 19 years.\u00a0The largest part of the musical treasure, can be found in Radio Montenegro.<\/p>\n

In his rich work, Borislav Boro Tamind\u017ei\u0107 dealt with production and stylization of folk melos, choral music, he wrote cantatas and oratorios, chamber and orchestral music, stage music for the theatre, music for films, children’s operettas and the opera \u0160\u0107epan Mali, which he did not manage to complete.\u00a0He died in 1992.<\/p>\n
