The play \u201cIphigenia\u201d based on Euripides tragedy \u201cIphigenia in Aulis\u201d, directed by Zoran Rako\u010devi\u0107, co-produced by the NGO \u201cKorifej Teatar\u201d and the Cultural Centers Kola\u0161in and Bijelo Polje, will be performed tomorrow, 27^{th<\/sup> February in the Royal Theatre “Zetski dom” at 8 pm.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n}

Cast: An\u0111elija Rondovi\u0107, Jelena \u0110uki\u0107, \u0110or\u0111ije Tati\u0107, Petar Novakovi\u0107, Moamer Kasumovi\u0107, Una Lu\u010di\u0107, Ognjen Sekuli\u0107 and Bojan Peko Mini\u0107.<\/p>\n

Director Rako\u010devi\u0107 points out that “Iphigenia” is a piece of human catastrophe.\u00a0Euripides tells us that human sacrifices for the highest social ideals are more honorable than accepting limited freedom.\u00a0In that inevitable story, we are looking for today’s man who is possessed by the ghosts of an almost archetypal neoliberal discourse, where, like a Greek hero, he struggles between the dictates of dehumanized power and control on the one hand, and emotional, warm, human, and even painful truth of living, on the other side. Today’s Iphigenia is not killed by the prophecy, as we can understand it at first, but by a numb and senseless human nature, incapable of any sensitivity, cocooned in a new social class whose elite loses the reasons of humanity.<\/p>\n
