Biography

She graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje, and is currently attending a master’s degree in acting in the class of prof. Branislav Mićunović. While she was a student, she played in the play “Capital”, directed by Andraš Urban, produced by the Royal Theatre “Zetski dom”. In the Royal Theatre, she also performed roles in the plays “Conversations about Love”, directed by Jernej Lorenci, “Three Sisters”, directed by Branislav Mićunović, “That’s not it – studies of Faust”, directed by Tomi Janežič, “Sexual Perversity in Chicago”, directed by Zoran Rakočević, “Tobelia, mimicry”, directed by Mirjana Medojević, “The Presidents”, directed by Radmila Vojvodić and “Beneath the Two Suns”, directed by Boris Liješević. In the MNT she performed in the play “The Visit”. For her role in the play “Capital”, Laban won the award for the best young actress at the Festival in Niš. She also won the award “Rejhan Demirdžić” for the best young actress at International Theatre Festival MESS Sarajevo. As a member of the ensemble of the play “Capital”, Jelena is a part of campaign #EUandYOU – Your story, our future, which was created under the auspices of the European Union.
