Jovan Milošević bio je prvi dirigent, a uz Aleksu Ivanovića i prvi visokoobrazovani muzičar iz Crne Gore, koji se tim pozivom bavio od 1926. godine – najprije kao kapelnik muzike Zetske divizijske oblasti. Poslije Drugog svjetskog rata, rukovodio je orkestrom u programu Radija Cetinje, pri čemu je sredinom stoljeća bio angažovan i kao dirigent u cetinjskom Narodnom pozorištu.
