Maksimilijan Hajek bio je kompozitor, muzičar i dirigent. U Crnoj Gori bio je prisutan od završetka Drugog svjetskog rata, gdje je rukovodio tada jedinim profesionalnim orkestrom u salonskom sastavu, formiranom pri Radiju Cetinje. Hajek je bio angažovan i kao dirigent u Narodnom pozorištu na Cetinju.
