“Anna Karenina” in Podgorica - Zetski dom

Zetski dom

The play “Anna Karenina”, based on the novel by L.N. Tolstoy, directed by Mirko Radonjić, co-produced by the Royal Theatre “Zetski dom” and the Drama Studio “Prazan Prostor”, will be performed on Saturday and Sunday (October 15 and 16), starting at 7 pm in Vojni hangar Zagorič.

Anna Karenina is a three-part play (The Nature of Falling in Love, The Nature of Time and The Nature of Madness). The cast includes: Sanja Vujisić, Aleksandar Gavranić and Pavle Prelević. It represents the search for ways to interpret and enagage into dialogue with this Tolstoy classic. This dialogue should in turn serve as a platform for both the performers and the audience to contemplate as to how to love in these crazy times.

A few days ago, “Anna Karenina” won the Grand-Prix of the 62nd MESS International Theatre Festival in Sarajevo – “The Golden Laurel Wreath for the best theatre performance overall”. Also, “The Golden Laurel Wreath for best actor” won Aleksandar Gavranić, while the “Rejhan Demirdžić” award for the best young actor/actress won Pavle Prelević and Sanja Vujisić. Ilija Gajović was awarded the “Sound of MESS” award by Radio Sarajevo for the music and sound, while the play also won the “Golden Mask for Best Performance” by the Sarajevo daily “Oslobođenje”.

Tickets for upcoming performances in Podgorica can be booked via Facebook and Instagram profiles of the Drama Studio “Prazan prostor”, as well as on telephone 067222994.
